Relaxed winter walks
2. Luttach – Lechnerhof
An easy walk leads from the tourist office along Weißenbach road to Lechnerhof. It is well suited to an arrival or departure day.
3. Weißenbach – Kräuteralm Riesa
From the church at Weißenbach, the short route reaches Kräuteralm Riesa in about 45 minutes and is graded easy.
4. Ahornach – Roanerhof
From the church at Ahornach, the route passes Pojen to Roanerhof in about one hour, with easy to moderate difficulty and a sunny position.
5. Rein – Angerer and Indereder
A compact circuit starts by the cross-country centre and reaches Angerer and Indereder. Keep to the winter path and away from the ski track.
Panorama routes and longer circuits
6. St Johann – Bizat Hut
The official moderate route runs from Naturhotel Molin to Bizat Hut. Check that both route and hut are open before leaving.
7. Luttach – Schwarzbach Alm
From Luttach tourist office, the trail climbs via Brunnberg to Schwarzbach Alm in about 90 minutes. Traction aids can help on ice.
8. Rein – Knutten valley, Ebner and Kofler
From the cross-country centre, the route passes the church and Knutten valley car park towards Ebner and Kofler. Use only the open winter trail.
9. Weißenbach panorama circuit
This two-hour circuit reaches the valley head, Althaus and the panorama trail before returning to Kräuteralm Riesa.
10. Reinbach Falls and Taufers Castle
The official three-hour circuit from Sand in Taufers links the river, Reinbach Falls, Toblhof, the Knights’ Trail and Taufers Castle.
