A rewarding winter holiday need not repeat the same activity every day. Around Steinhaus, long toboggan runs, cross-country tracks, winter paths, ice and wellness alternate.

Current operating information
The 5-kilometre run is close to the apartments and is used for night sledging on selected dates. A helmet and current opening check are essential.

The natural Kottersteg run starts at Almboden on Klausberg and descends around 6 kilometres towards St Johann, with moderate difficulty.

Local ice areas add variety for families and groups. Opening depends strongly on temperature and the stage of the winter season.

The region lists around 50 kilometres of tracks at Rein, Kasern, Weißenbach and Mühlwald for both classic and skating techniques.

Cleared or natural paths cross the valley and mountain villages. Not all are gritted; waterproof footwear and traction aids may be useful.
